Why I’m Running
Both my professional and educational experiences continue to make me a perfect fit to serve as your Clark County Treasurer.
As your treasurer, I am responsible for ensuring the safekeeping of public funds as required by law and to make administrative decisions for the best interest of the people I serve. I take this job seriously and am committed to continuous improvement, superior customer service, reliability, accuracy and accountability. I believe in leading my team with a focus on inclusion and teamwork. Every Treasurer’s Office team member is committed to the taxpayer.
I care about Clark County because I grew up here.
I attended Battle Ground High School where I earned an athletic scholarship to attend and competed for WSU-Pullman in track and field. I graduated with degrees in Psychology and Foreign Languages and Literatures and hold a Master of Public Administration from PSU.
In 2017, I was appointed to serve on the Washington State Housing Finance Commission who issues approximately $854 million in bond financing and $644 million in housing tax credits.
I was recognized by the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce as one of Clark County’s Most Interesting People of 2014. Was a nominee for Washington State University-Vancouver’s 2013 Women of Distinction, and named by the Vancouver Business Journal as a 2011 Accomplished and Under 40.
Now, as Clark County Treasurer, I oversee $1.3 billion in investments, over $800 million in property tax billing and collection, over $1 billion in debt management, and $9 billion in banking transactions.
I have the fiduciary experience it takes to lead the Treasurer’s Office into the future.
